Plan ahead. Successful people plan the night before for the next day. I’m a planner and I have the next day all planned out before I go to bed.
In the morning I go through the list as a reminder and I set out about my day. I’m not so rigid that I can’t be flexible and fit other things that pop up during the day, but my plan for the day keeps me on track.
Read good books. Successful people read books that are helpful, inspiring and entertaining. Do you have a favorite public figure that you enjoy learning from? If you do, I bet they have books that they have read and they recommend them. Sometimes they may even have a list of books on their website.
There is a podcast called Read to Lead. It is wonderful! Jeff Brown is very informative about the books that he reviews and he has a list of books on his site, readtoleadpodcast.com.

Live a healthy lifestyle. Leaders know that having a workout routine and a healthy diet are very important. They start out their day with exercise and then they feel energized and ready to take on their to-do list that they have ready for the day.
Eating a healthy diet will give them the energy they need to keep going throughout their day. Healthy food and beverages will keep away the brain fog. A good meal in the middle of the day that doesn’t sit like a lead weight or make you feel like you need a nap is super important.

Successful people are focused. What others are doing will not distract them from what they are doing to reach their goal. They don’t compare themselves to others. They celebrate their successes and learn from their mistakes.
Live each day to its fullest. Successful people live like there is no tomorrow. They are not wasting time, they are making the most out of every moment.
